Join a pioneering, survivor-led crisis service making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Leeds OASIS provides a safe, homely alternative to hospital admission for individuals experiencing acute mental health distress. Supporting up to 10 guests at a time, we offer short-term, intensive, person-centred care.

As a Crisis Specialist Worker, you will provide compassionate, trauma-informed support to people during some of their most challenging moments. This role requires emotional resilience, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and a strong commitment to empowering others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate, trauma-informed support to up to 10 guests in a person-centred care setting.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, including first-aid intervention, and maintain calm under pressure.
  • Access all floors of a three-storey building safely, moving between floors regularly during shifts.
  • Cover sickness and leave across day, weekend and night shifts, typically 8 or 10 hours per shift.
Requirements
  • Strong emotional resilience and ability to work under pressure.
  • Commitment to empowering and supporting service users.
  • Fit to travel between floors using stairs and respond quickly to incidents.
  • Willingness to receive full first-aid training.
Accessibility

This role is based in a three-storey building without lift access. All staff must be able to safely use stairs to support guests and respond to incidents.
