Specialist Speech and Language Therapist – Aurora Brooklands/Woodlands

Location:

Leyland/Darwen Salary: £33612.80 to £49067.20 per annum, pro rata (depending on qualifications and experience)

Hours:

40hrs per week - Term time only Either 4 days a week (2 days at Brooklands and 2 at Woodlands) OR (2 days a week at Brooklands only) The Aurora Group is an innovative provider of education and care for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities with an ambitious growth plan We are looking for an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to work as part of a therapy team in our North West Aurora Schools.

Aurora Brooklands and Woodlands Schools provide flexible day placements for students aged 9 to 19 years with communication and associated difficulties or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia. Some may be on the autistic spectrum or have anxieties and difficulties that create barriers to learning. When it comes to looking after our young people, we strive for excellence we are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist who shares our vision;

to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people to be happy and to make their way in the world. Working collaboratively with the sites, you will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our children and young people with developmental trauma, Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs. You will be responsible for holding a small speech and language therapy caseload for the two special schools, you will also contribute to staff training, consultation and reflective practice.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential Criteria :
You will be a registered member of RCSLT and HCPC Hold a professional Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent.
