Pharmacy Receptionist

Job Summary

The Pharmacy department at Leeds Teaching Hospital is looking for three part‑time, friendly and enthusiastic receptionists to support the pharmacy teams on weekend shifts only.

One role is at LGI Inpatient Pharmacy on a Sunday only (7.5 hours per week) working 9:00‑17:00 with a 30‑minute lunch break. Two roles are at St James' Pharmacy on Saturday and/or Sunday (8 hours per day, 16 hours per week) working 9:00‑17:30 with a 30‑minute lunch break.

• Opening and closing the pharmacy reception.
• Answering the telephone and addressing queries from patients, nurses, doctors and other staff.
• Greeting patients and hospital staff at reception and providing face‑to‑face assistance.
• Printing orders and discharge prescriptions and booking them into the pharmacy prescription tracking system.
• Monitoring PPM and other systems for orders and discharge prescriptions.
• Performing filing and general administrative tasks as required.

• Polite, calm, and helpful manner.
• Organised, methodical and self‑motivated.
• Strong information‑technology skills and experience using a pharmacy prescription tracking system.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume pharmacy or reception environment is preferred.
