Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have a background in epidemiology, health data science, or public health? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Faculty of Medicine and Health for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join a world-leading clinical research group. Based at Chapel Allerton Hospital this post is available immediately for a fixed term until 31 March 2028, with the possibility of extension dependent on funding. The post is embedded within the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre:
Leeds Osteoarthritis Workstream, which uses comprehensive health and social care data to define target groups for intervention and to explore effects of novel therapies in new target populations.

The successful candidate will have a MSc or PhD or equivalent in epidemiology, public health, health data science, or a related discipline, with a proven record in writing for publication. They will have experience of analysing large, linked health and social care datasets using advanced epidemiological and pharmacoepidemiology methods, with excellent IT skills and experience of statistical packages such as R or Stata.

We currently have funding secured for this post until 31 March 2028. It is our intention to apply for additional funding for the post at the midway point, which would support an extension if successful.

100% FTE (part-time of at least 60% FTE may be considered)

Fixed term until 31 March 2028 (the role is funded by external grant income)
