We’relooking for aClinical Product Specialist –a registered healthcare professional who understands how medications are prescribed,supplied and administered in practice, and who wants to use that knowledge to make digital medicines management safer.

You’llbe the clinical voice across the product lifecycle: owning clinical safety documentation for every Better Meds release, advising product and implementation teams on workflow safety, and representing

Bettertoclinical audiences at NHS Trustsand health boards. Youwon’tjustreviewspecs;you’llshapehow thousands of clinicians prescribe and administer medicines every day.

Skills and expertise you need to excel in this position:
  • Clinical registration and experience: A registered healthcare professional (nurse, pharmacist, or physician) with UK/NHS clinical experience, ideally covering medicines administration or prescribing workflows.
  • Medicines processes: Practical familiarity with hospital or community medicines processes–prescribing, administration, PRN management, allergy checking — that underpins credible review of clinical safety cases and product specifications.
  • Clinical safety and regulation: Working knowledge of DCB
    0129 and DCB
    0160 (Clinical Risk Management for the manufacture and deployment of health IT systems). Experience producing Clinical Safety Case Reports, hazard logs and risk assessments is highly desirable.
  • Clinical Safety Officer training: Completion of, or willingness to complete, accredited CSO training (e.g.NHS England CSO training, PRSB/Ethos, or equivalent).
  • ePMAdomain knowledge: Understanding of electronic prescribing and medicines administration systems, ideally hands-on experience with Better Meds or a comparable system.
  • UKmedicinesterminology: Familiarity withdm+d(Dictionary of Medicines and Devices) and UKmedicinesterminology.
  • Customer-facing aptitude: Experience or a clear aptitude for demos, tenders and bid responses, and translating clinical requirements into product capability statements.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal English, and confidence presenting to Trust and health board stakeholders–clinicians,pharmacist sand IT leads.
  • Collaboration: Able to work across cross-functional teams (product, implementation, support) and translate between clinical and technical language.
How will you show up and shape success, one day at a time?
  • Clinical safety documentation: Produce and maintain Clinical Safety Case Reports and supporting hazard logs for each version and release of Better Meds.
  • Clinical risk assessment: Assess proposed product changes for clinical risk in line with DCB
    0129/DCB
    0160, and sign offonclinical safety documentation for each release going to customers.
  • Product input: Provide clinical perspective on product specifications–workflow safety, edge cases, terminology–and review functional specs from a clinical risk and usability angle.
  • Implementation support: Support the implementation team with clinical questions that arise during customer rollouts, and act as the clinical point of contact for customer queries that require clinical judgment.
  • Support escalation: Assist the Support team with tickets that need clinical interpretation, such as clinical bug reports and medicationbehaviourquestions.
  • Knowledge transfer: Review training materials and documentation for clinical accuracy, and run clinical safety workshops, both internally and with customers.
  • Presales: Deliver product demonstrations tailored to clinical audiences and contribute clinical content to tender and bid responses.
