Job Summary

Join Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as a Senior Digital Nurse, Midwife, AHP or Pharmacist/ Pharmacy Technician and use your clinical expertise to influence the digital systems that support thousands of patients and staff every day. The role will focus on:

  • Leading and supporting current digital programmes and transformation initiatives across LTHT.
  • Championing the adoption of digital systems in clinical practice.
  • Providing clinical leadership to optimise the use of technology to improve patient and staff experience.

We're looking for an experienced Nurse, Midwife, AHP or Pharmacist/ Pharmacy Technician who is passionate about improving care through technology. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Office of the CCIO and play a key role in delivering digital transformation across Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. You'll work at the frontline of digital healthcare, bridging the gap between clinical practice and technology, by being visible and working in clinical environments.

Leading a portfolio of digital projects, you'll support the design, implementation and optimisation of electronic health records and other clinical systems, helping staff deliver safer, more effective care.

You will:

  • Lead and support digital transformation initiatives across the Trust.
  • Champion the adoption of digital systems in clinical practice.
  • Work closely with nurses, midwives, AHPs, pharmacists and digital teams.
  • Provide clinical leadership and digital expertise.
  • Lead Clinical Safety activities and support compliance with national standards.
  • Influence how technology improves patient and staff experience.
We're looking for:

A registered Nurse, Midwife, AHP or Pharmacist/ Pharmacy Technician.

  • Significant clinical experience at Band 6 or above.
  • Experience of change, improvement, audit or project work.
  • Strong communication, leadership and influencing skills.
  • A passion for digital innovation and improving patient care.
What you will bring to the role

In this role you will act as a digital champion, promoting the benefits of digital ways of working and supporting staff to engage with new technologies and systems.

You will maintain active professional registration with your relevant regulatory body and use your clinical experience to help ensure that digital solutions are designed and implemented with the needs of patients, service users and staff in mind.

You will contribute to gathering user feedback, identifying opportunities for improvement and helping to ensure that systems and processes are safe, effective and user-friendly.

You will support the clinical safety assessment of digital systems and technologies, helping to identify, evaluate and mitigate potential risks to ensure safe and effective use in clinical practice.

The post holder will support a range of digital programmes and initiatives, including the ongoing optimisation of digital tools and technologies, and supporting the Digital Back to Basics and Digital Health Check programmes.

You will help promote the effective use of digital systems to improve clinical workflows, enhance patient experience and support high-quality care.
