About us:
Daniel Yorath House is a Brainkind specialist neurological care centre based in Leeds, providing innovative neuro rehabilitation and person centred support to enable people to thrive after brain injury.
MAIN
PURPOSE:
To provide a physiotherapy service by assessing, implementing and evaluating programmes of person centred care as part of the multi-disciplinary team. To ensure continuity and consistency regarding service users’ physical management. To demonstrate clinical, technical and research skills through breadth and depth of knowledge.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for assessment of service user needs in relation particularly to optimising independence and physical function, and symptom control
- Responsible to devise a formal plan for families and carers to provide physiotherapy interventions as part of overall care
- To promote choice in all aspects of clinical practice reviewing and making suggestions to enhance the service user experience and enabling concerns and complaints to be raised freely by service user and their representatives
- To liaise and communicate with other health and social care professionals and volunteers in the planning and delivery of physiotherapy
- To ensure appropriate prescription, provision and maintenance of equipment within available resources
- To ensure that up to date written and electronic records are maintained in accordance with Professional and Brainkind standards, and that sensitive information is held securely
- To demonstrate clinical leadership and promote clinical supervision. To share knowledge and expertise with other staff through formal and informal teaching
- Facilitating the safe and smooth running of the Service, the post holder is expected to maintain a safe working environment, maintain service user confidentiality, and occasionally taking on reasonable additional tasks
ABOUT YOU:
- Diploma/BSc in Physiotherapy
- Current and valid Registration with Health & Care Professions Council
- Current registration with professional body (e.g. CSP)
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Use of evidence based practice and outcome measures
- Knowledge and application of physiotherapy assessments and interventions using clinical reasoning
