You will manage the day-to-day running of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Major Research Facility (MRI MRF), including operational coordination, staff supervision, and ensuring a safe and compliant working environment. The role focuses on delivering a reliable service to research facility users, maintaining standards, setting up and applying for regulatory approvals such as ethics approvals for research studies, supporting compliance with relevant regulations, and ensuring equitable access to the facility.
You will contribute to the smooth functioning of the MRI MRF through practical support and collaboration with colleagues and users. The MRI MRF is a clinical facility and supports some of the NHS services at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As facility manager, you will interface with NHS staff and users and coordinate access to the facility's MRI scanners for both research and NHS use.
For this role you should have a degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent experience). You should also have experience of managing in a relevant laboratory or research facility environment, and good communication skills with a team-focused approach.
