Salary/Rate: £16 – £18/hour
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Rehabilitation Assistant to support an individual with cerebral palsy in a home‑based setting. This role focuses on promoting independence and quality of life through personalised, person‑centred support.
This position is a 4‑week rolling rota with a total of 84 hours per month.
Working Hours – 4 Week Rolling Rota- Week 1: 20 hours (Thursday: 9:00 am–4:00 pm; Saturday: 3:00 pm–10:00 pm; Sunday: 12:00 pm–6:00 pm)
- Week 2: 21 hours (Thursday: 9:00 am–9:00 pm; Sunday: 12:00 pm–9:00 pm)
- Week 3: 23 hours (Wednesday: 3:00 pm–10:00 pm; Friday: 9:00 am–4:00 pm; Saturday: 12:00 pm–9:00 pm)
- Week 4: 20 hours (Thursday: 12:00 pm–10:00 pm; Saturday: 12:00 pm–10:00 pm)
- Support mobility, positioning, and daily routines in line with care plans.
- Assist with physiotherapy exercises and encourage participation in everyday activities.
- Provide personal care where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Offer emotional support and companionship, helping to build confidence.
- Monitor and record any changes, maintain clear documentation, and support communication with family and professionals.
- Assist with light household tasks, meal preparation, and attending appointments or social activities.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Previous experience in care or support work is desirable but not essential.
- Good communication and IT skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Patient, reliable, and respectful approach.
