HR Advisor

Location: Richmond Hill

Job purpose

To provide HR support and guidance on a range of people related matters across the employee lifecycle.  Partnering with our teams, you will collaborate closely with managers and employees to drive HR initiatives, promote a positive work environment, and ensure the alignment of HR practices with organisational goals and values.

Main duties

Supporting managers on all people issues.
Support in induction process.
Supporting on employee relations, guiding managers to manage processes effectively.
Management of sickness absence, working with managers to take appropriate action.
Provide regular communications to managers and teams on best practice HR.
Support and facilitate training and development, working with the Performance and Development team.
Develop strong engagement, wellbeing and development initiatives to focus retention and succession planning.
Support the HR team in delivering the people strategy.
Working with the HR team to ensure HR goals and objectives are met and the business receives a professional HR service.
Maintain an up to date knowledge of employment law changes and share with the organisation where necessary.
Ensuring accurate records are kept in line with legislative requirements.
Supports the wider HR team with any Projects or additional ad-hoc duties from time to time as required.
Provide coaching and upskilling to managers regarding people issues including, but not limited to, disciplinaries, grievances, probations, absence management, flexible working and performance improvement.
Note taking at formal meetings.
To abide by & promote health & safety, ensuring all approved policies & processes are followed.
Any other duties deemed appropriate for the role.

Person Specification

Qualifications

A full clean driving licence with access to a car.
CIPD Level 3 or relevant experience
CIPD Level 5 - desirable Knowledge

Importance of confidentiality and following GDPR requirements.
Understanding of the working time regulations.
Adept with Microsoft Office package
Working knowledge of Employment Law
Comprehensive knowledge of Employment Law - desirable
