Recruitment Consultant - New Position at Skook Management Consulting

Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 per annum

We are seeking a new Recruitment Consultant to join our thriving business. Our clients are primarily university students living away from home who require 24/7 care and support. This role is part of our comprehensive service where we recruit personal assistants tailored to each client's needs.

The position does not involve canvassing for vacancies, there are no sales targets, and it is not a sales position.

Experience in the care industry is helpful but not essential. Candidates should provide a cover letter explaining why they are suitable for this position.

Key Duties/Tasks
  • Reporting to the Recruitment Manager.
  • Providing a professional recruitment function.
  • Handling recruitment queries in a responsive, customer-focused way.
  • Screening CVs, matching applicants to vacancies and pre-selecting for interviews.
  • Undertaking other duties as required by the Recruitment Manager.
  • Creating and posting adverts across various hiring platforms.
  • Communicating requirements and duties to prospective applicants.
  • Processing all recruitment-related administration within agreed time-scales.
  • Working closely with the Recruitment Manager to manage day-to-day recruitment activities and diary.
  • Communicating effectively and confidently on all levels – by phone, face to face, and by email.
Desirable Skills And Attributes
  • Self‑motivated with a "must do" attitude towards filling vacancies.
  • Confident speaker over the phone.
  • Ability to quickly build strong relationships with applicants.
  • Strong workload planning, organisation skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Word, Adobe, Excel, and Google applications.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
  • Recruitment experience (in-house or agency).
  • Understanding of the legal aspects of hiring.
