We are looking for a dynamic and experienced HR Business Partner to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract, supporting three key divisions within Sweco UK&I. This role will report to the Head of HR Business Partnering and is based in our Leeds office with travel to other offices (mainly London & Peterborough). We offer hybrid working with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
Please note our office will shortly be moving to Leeds city centre. This role is an urgent requirement so we are ideally looking for somebody that is immediately available. As an HR Business Partner, you will be instrumental in driving HR initiatives, and solutions to support business goals and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Partner with divisional leaders and their management teams to implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Work with the Head of HRBP to deliver the People Strategy, supporting a culture of engagement, wellbeing, inclusion, and high performance that underpins organisational excellence.
- Lead talent efforts, including workforce planning and succession planning to ensure the divisions are actively managing risks and protecting the future.
- Support managers in the performance management process, including coaching them around employee relations, goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
- Provide expertise and support for organisational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and employee engagement.
- Contribute to initiatives that improve manager capability, employee experience, and organisational effectiveness, using learning and feedback to drive excellence.
- Ensure compliance with UK&I employment laws and Sweco policies, advising on best practices and managing risk. Education of 2026 employment law changes will be a focus.
- Use HR analytics to provide insights to the leadership teams and act on the data to proactively provide solutions.
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role, ideally within a multi-division environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- CIPD chartership is highly desirable.
