An established professional services organisation is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join its team. This is a hands‑on role responsible for overseeing all HR operations, ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and relevant regulatory standards, and partnering with senior leadership to support a positive, high‑performing workplace culture.

This opportunity would suit an HR professional with strong judgement, excellent communication skills, and previous experience within a legal or professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processes.
  • Provide expert advice on employment law, HR policies, employee relations matters, and HR best practice.
  • Oversee training programmes, CPD requirements, compliance, and professional development frameworks.
  • Support senior leadership with workforce planning and resource management.
  • Maintain and analyse HR data, ensuring GDPR compliance and accurate reporting.
  • Review and update HR policies to ensure alignment with current legal and regulatory requirements (including relevant professional standards).
  • Lead initiatives focused on employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention.
  • Support payroll and benefits administration in collaboration with the finance function.
  • Manage complex disciplinary, grievance, and capability cases.
  • Ensure accurate HR documentation and record keeping at all times.
Candidate Profile
  • CIPD qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Previous HR experience within a law firm or professional services environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Highly organised, dependable, and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Proactive and solution‑focused, with the ability to work independently.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities within a fast‑paced environment.
Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (office‑based).

Job Type: Full‑Time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (dependent on experience)
