Employee Relations Consultant
Salary:
From £35,300

- Providing high quality advice & coaching to managers to support them in the management of their people. This will be in line with legal and company requirements and will include, but not limited to performance management, disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, absence management, whistle‑blowing and flexible working.
- Effective case management of people issues, with a customer focus, to ensure that matters are handled efficiently, fairly and consistently.
- To ensure that any cases that require involvement of third parties (e.g. police involvement, safeguarding) or have additional implications for employees (e.g. referral to third parties) are managed in the appropriate manner.
- Provide guidance and support on suitability for / eligibility of employment and offering specialist advice to managers and the business where there is doubt on either.
- Provides guidance to management on employment law related changes, ensuring all business risk is mitigated and opportunities exploited.
- To own or support specific HR projects, specifically focusing on ways to improve policies and process and implementing changes where required.
- Experience in case managing HR issues in high volumes and of varying levels of complexity
- Successful experience of coaching, advising and influencing managers at all levels and at all stages of informal / formal processes
- Effective in building relationships with managers and stakeholders at all levels to build the credibility of the team and encourage repeat use of the service
- Demonstrates excellent ability to work professionally as part of a team
- Educated to degree level standard or equivalent experience
- CIPD qualified or working towards qualification
- Excellent planning and organisational abilities with the capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise accordingly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good working knowledge of IT systems including Word, Excel & Outlook
