Are you passionate about driving Cloud efficiency and cost optimisation? Do you have deep expertise in Fin Ops principles and a track record of applying them to maximise value for customers? Join BAE Systems Digital Intelligence as a Fin Ops Specialist and help customers unlock the full value of AWS in the defence and national security domains.

As a Fin Ops Specialist, you will play a critical role in advising a business unit of over 300 people on how to make their cloud-based capabilities more efficient and cost-effective. You will work at both the strategic level, helping customers understand and adopt Fin Ops practices, and at the technical level, collaborating with product architects and engineering teams to architect solutions with cost considered from the outset.

Our customers are starting a journey to migrate their capabilities to the cloud, creating a significant opportunity for Fin Ops expertise to deliver value. You will help us develop Fin Ops strategies and approaches, influencing customers to leverage these services to optimise their cloud investments.

This is a hands-on role where you will influence architectural decisions, advise on AWS cost optimisation strategies, and champion Fin Ops principles across internal teams and external stakeholders.

About You

You will have experience in many of the following:

Applying Fin Ops principles to drive cloud efficiency and cost optimisation in large-scale environments.

Deep understanding of AWS technologies, pricing models, and cost management tools.

Advising on cloud architecture to embed cost efficiency and scalability.

Developing and marketing Fin Ops offerings to customers, including creating compelling value propositions.

Engaging with senior stakeholders to align cloud efficiency strategies with business objectives.

Building business cases for cloud optimisation initiatives supported by robust data and analysis.

Familiarity with government or regulated environments (desirable but not essential).

Strong communication skills to influence technical and non-technical audiences.

Security Clearance

Due to the nature of our work, successful candidates for this role will be required to hold an active eDV before applying for this opportunity.

How We Will Support You

We value work-life balance and provide flexible working options, including:

25 days of annual leave with options to buy/sell and carry over.

A comprehensive benefits package, including private medical and dental insurance, a competitive pension scheme, and more.

Dedicated career development support through a People Manager.

A company bonus scheme tied to performance.

Access to diversity and support groups covering mental health, inclusion, and more.
