OverviewOur client is a rapidly growing digital consultancy delivering transformative digital solutions across public and private sector organisations. They are seeking an experienced Lead Technical Architect to play a key role in shaping architectural vision, technical strategy, and delivery excellence across client engagements and internal practice.
This is a senior, influential role with responsibility beyond individual projects. The Lead Technical Architect will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, mentor other architects and engineers, contribute to technical thought leadership, and support business growth through pre‑sales and strategic engagements.
Responsibilities- Define, promote, and maintain architectural vision, standards, and best practices across the delivery practice.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to senior client stakeholders, including C-suite leaders, guiding long-term technology strategy and digital transformation initiatives.
- Lead complex and strategic technical engagements, providing architectural governance, assurance, and direction across programmes.
- Mentor, coach, and develop technical architects and senior engineers, supporting capability growth and technical excellence.
- Lead technical input into pre‑sales activities, including bid responses, technical solution design, and due diligence.
- Influence and make architectural decisions that impact multiple projects, platforms, or clients.
- Contribute to external thought leadership through speaking engagements, written content, and community participation.
- Support the ongoing evolution of the organisation’s technical strategy and consulting capability.
- Extensive senior-level experience as a Technical Architect, with a strong track record delivering large-scale digital and cloud transformations.
- Proven expertise designing and implementing complex architectures across one or more major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP), including multi-cloud strategies.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, including containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), serverless approaches, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code expertise, with extensive hands‑on experience using Terraform for scalable, repeatable deployments.
- Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership, mentoring architects and engineering teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence executive and C-suite audiences.
- Experience working within a consultancy environment, including contribution to bids, proposals, and business development.
- Expert-level knowledge of cloud security, networking, resilience, and governance principles.
