Business Central Developer

About the Company

This particular company is embarking on a transformation programme to upgrade from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Dynamics 365 Business Central. They are investing heavily in modernising their systems and are looking for an experienced Business Central Developer to support the journey.

The Role

As the Business Central Developer, you will play a key role in the technical delivery of the NAV to BC upgrade and ongoing enhancements. You will work closely with IT, operations and finance teams to understand requirements, build high quality solutions and help shape the new system landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain extensions in AL for Business Central
• Support the upgrade from NAV to BC, including code refactoring, data migration and integration updates
• Work with stakeholders to understand business processes and translate them into technical designs
• Build and manage APIs, integrations and automations across retail systems
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve issues across NAV and BC environments
• Participate in testing, documentation and deployment processes
• Ensure best practices, performance and code quality across all development work

Skills and Experience

• Strong experience as a NAV or Business Central Developer
• Hands on experience with AL, C/AL and extension based development
• Solid understanding of retail processes such as stock, fulfilment, purchasing and POS
• Experience supporting upgrades or migrations from NAV to BC
• Good knowledge of SQL, APIs, web services and integration patterns
• Ability to work with cross functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops is a bonus
