Cloud Architect

We are searching for a Cloud Architect who will play a vital role in supporting a large-scale cloud and application data estate upgrade programme. Our client operates a GCP-based Kubernetes infrastructure and is undertaking a strategic initiative to modernise and upgrade their entire cloud environment to the latest version of GCP.

• Review and critically assess the delivery partner’s proposed architecture, upgrade approach and technical plans
• Work collaboratively with Qodea to refine and validate architectural decisions, ensuring they align with business requirements and long-term strategy
• Provide architectural governance and oversight across the cloud upgrade programme
• Translate technical proposals into clear business impact and risk assessments
• Design and produce a detailed 12-month roadmap covering immediate stabilisation, optimisation and upgrade milestones
• Develop a 5-year strategic cloud and platform roadmap focused on scalability, reliability, cost optimisation and maintainability
• Define architectural standards, design principles and guardrails for future development
• Identify risks, technical debt and optimisation opportunities across the current GCP and Kubernetes estate
• Champion best practice in cloud-native design, resilience engineering and platform scalability
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing clarity and direction during programme delivery
