About the Role – Desktop Support Engineer (Entry Level)

We are hiring an Entry-Level Desktop Support Engineer to join our growing IT support team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to start their career in IT support, helpdesk support, or desktop engineering. You will assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues while gaining hands‑on technical experience and industry knowledge.

Key Responsibilities (SEO Keywords Included)
  • Provide IT support and desktop support to end-users (onsite and remote)
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Windows OS, laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Install, configure, and upgrade software, applications, and operating systems
  • Support Microsoft Office 365, email configuration, and user account setup
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting (Wi‑Fi, LAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP)
  • Manage IT service requests using a ticketing system / helpdesk system
  • Assist in Active Directory tasks (password resets, account unlocks, access management)
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation and hardware inventory
  • Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when needed
  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure timely issue resolution
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Basic understanding of IT support, desktop troubleshooting, and Windows environment
  • Familiarity with Office 365, computer hardware components, and technical troubleshooting
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within an IT support engineer role
  • Ability to work under guidance and follow IT processes
Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory)
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365 Admin Center, or ITSM tools
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Fundamentals (MS‑900/MD‑100/MD‑101)
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity hygiene and endpoint protection
