Project Manager – Data Quality & MDM
Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, is recruiting for this role to join our Data & Analytics team. The position is based at one of our Gloucestershire UK sites, with hybrid working and regular collaboration across our international sites.
The RoleData is one of Ontic’s most strategic assets. You will lead the implementation and adoption of our enterprise-wide Master Data Management strategy, ensuring that data quality is clearly defined, understood, measured, and continuously improved across the organization.
You will work across all levels of the business, engaging with business leaders, system users, and technical teams to define what “good” data looks like and how it is governed in practice. The role will see you driving cultural change in data stewardship, deploying enabling technology, establishing data quality metrics, and supporting the remediation of data quality issues across core enterprise systems.
You will also partner closely with IT and enterprise architecture teams to embed data governance principles into system and integration design.
At Ontic, our culture is integral to making sure we enjoy our work and deliver for our customers. To be successful you’ll bring a Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years’ experience in a related role with demonstrable involvement in Master Data Management and data governance initiatives.
You will have a strong understanding of data modelling, hierarchy management, and golden record creation, and be comfortable working across ERP, CRM, PLM, and QMS environments within complex organisations.
You will be experienced in working with global, cross‑functional stakeholders, managing networks of data owners and stewards, and communicating the value of data quality to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Strong leadership, facilitation, and conflict‑resolution skills will enable you to manage resistance, translate governance policy into practical process improvements, and drive sustainable change.
Experience with in aerospace, manufacturing, or other regulated industries, along with knowledge of standards such as ITAR, EAR, GDPR, and CCPA, would be highly advantageous.
