The Role

As an Azure Solution Architect, you will be responsible to lead the design and management of a modern Azure Data Platform. This role will drive advanced analytics and customer insights critical for business growth, ensure robust security and compliance, and leverage cutting‑edge Azure technologies such as Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks, and AI/ML services. The architect will play a pivotal role in enabling data‑driven decision‑making and modernising the client’s cloud ecosystem.

Your responsibilities:

• Architect and implement solutions using Azure services for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics
• Develop modernisation roadmaps for legacy systems to Azure Data Platform
• Design data governance and security frameworks ensuring compliance with organisational and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define functional and non‑functional requirements and translate them into technical designs
• Work with non‑TCS vendors (current development partners for a client) and manage all production implementations by ensuring all the required standards are met
• Work with client stakeholders on overall vision and create roadmap to achieve the same
• Lead CI/CD pipeline implementation for data workloads using Azure Dev Ops and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Work with key stakeholders in the governance and review of overall architecture
• Lead review and governance meetings with non‑TCS vendors, key stakeholders
• Provide inputs on implementation standards, potential improvement areas, cost optimisation opportunities, and innovation after detailed assessment of the existing customer landscape
• Provide technical leadership and mentor teams on best practices for Azure architecture and data solutions
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimisation for mission‑critical workloads.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• A strong understanding of data warehousing (knowledge of data ingestion, performance optimisation and various tools is necessary)
• Strong technical knowledge of Azure stack as the role will involve working with very senior stakeholders both from client and external vendors
• Data Platform Expertise:
  Data Lake, Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines
• Expertise on Dev Ops & Automation:
  Azure Dev Ops (CI/CD), YAML pipelines, Power Shell scripting, Terraform/Bicep for IaC
• Skills and knowledge on Security & Compliance:
  Key Vault, RBAC, encryption, vulnerability management
• Programming skills:
  Python/PySpark, SQL; familiarity with .NET or Java is a plus
• Cloud Networking & Identity experience: VNET, NSG, IAM, MFA, SAML/OAuth/OIDC
• Knowledge in recent trends and changes in tools/ technologies related to Azure landscape
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies and principles such as Scrum, Kanban
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Data Mesh, and data governance frameworks
• Knowledge of container orchestration (AKS/Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with AI/ML integration on Azure for advanced analytics
