Network & Communications Engineer | Remote | Up to £55,000

This is a permanent position that sits within a major infrastructure transformation. No BAU. No hand-holding.

We're recruiting for a large, nationally recognised not‑for‑profit operating nearly 1,700 sites across England. The network runs through managed service providers — your job is to understand it deeply enough to challenge them, lead on major incidents, and drive quality outcomes rather than just escalate and wait.

You’ll need a solid on‑prem foundation — someone who's been hands‑on in cabinets, built networks from the ground up, and understands how everything hangs together. The role spans LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, and telephony. Cloud telephony experience is a genuine bonus — Teams, SIP, or any modern UC migration all count.

You’ll bring:

• A strong on‑prem networking background built through hands‑on experience
• Confidence challenging managed service providers and leading incident calls
• Broad networking knowledge — routing, switching, WAN, wireless
• Telephony awareness — legacy or modern, both valued
• The maturity to work independently from day one
