Manual Test engineer

Location:

Leeds 1-2x/week

Rate: £450/day Inside IR35

Duration: 6 months to begin with

We’re looking for a couple Senior Tester to join a high-profile digital programme in the public sector. You’ll be embedded in an Agile delivery team
, working closely with Developers, Product Owners, and Delivery Leads to ensure quality is built in from day one.

• Champion shift-left testing
  , actively participating in 3 Amigos and static requirement reviews.
• Take full ownership of defect management and the testing backlog
  .
• Collaborate with Dev/Delivery/Product to manage workload and priorities.
• Conduct frontend web application testing
  , including cross-browser and accessibility testing
  , aligned with NHS service design guidelines
  .
• Execute API testing with Postman (Collections provided).
• Perform database testing (SQL Server).
• Test and validate FHIR APIs
  .
• Support BDD practices
  , contributing to the creation and maintenance of automated test cases.
• Work within Azure Dev Ops for test management, pipelines, and backlog tracking.
• Manage and contribute to CI/CD pipelines in Azure
  .
• Own release creation and test environment management
  , ensuring smooth handover to Solutions Assurance and Clinical teams
  .

• Proven track record as a Senior Tester / Agile Tester
  .
• Strong background in frontend, API, and database testing
  .
• Familiarity with FHIR APIs and healthcare standards.
• Experience with BDD and test automation practices.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Dev Ops and CI/CD pipelines
  .
• Solid understanding of NHS accessibility and service design guidelines
  .
• Knowledge of .NET and Type Script is advantageous.
