Infrastructure Engineer; Cloud

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with GCP and/or Azure (AWS desirable)
• Kubernetes administration and security, and containerised workloads
• CI/CD tooling (Terraform, Git, Jenkins, Harness, Backstage)
• Automation and scripting using Python
• Operating and supporting production cloud services
• (Desirable) Experience across multiple cloud providers
• (Desirable) Prior experience in a regulated or large enterprise environment
• (Desirable) Experience influencing or contributing to security policy
• (Desirable) Understanding of cloud security standards (e.g. CIS, NIST, PCI-DSS)

• Lloyds Banking Group is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our Cloud Enterprise & Compute Security Lab
• This role focuses on designing, building, and operating cloud security frameworks and tooling that protect workloads across public and private cloud platforms
• You will lead an engineering team in the delivery of automated, codified security controls and help shape the organisation’s cloud security posture
• Implement, and deploy software-defined infrastructure and cloud security tooling
• Contribute to designs for infrastructure and cloud security tooling
• Take ownership of complex problems and deliveries
• Build automated security controls using CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and Policy as Code
• Work in small engineering teams to deliver security focused products
• Be part of a team owning production services across public cloud platforms, ensuring availability, reliability and security
• Contribute to the development and implementation of cloud security policies and standards
• Identify gaps in existing practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Share knowledge across the team and contribute to a culture of continuous learning
