Job Summary

HCLTech is seeking a Desktop and Mobile Technical Support Specialist to provide deskside, OSS, and FSO support across a broad range of devices including PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones, desk telephony, AV equipment, and more. The role emphasizes high customer satisfaction, strong communication, and adherence to service level agreements.

• Provide deskside, OSS, and FSO technical support for desktop PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones, desk telephony, AV equipment, comms room devices, desk cabling, and software installation and troubleshooting.
• Support specification, installation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established standards.
• Perform fault diagnostics, resolve unique and non-recurring issues, and maintain service level agreements.
• Deliver OS imaging and reimaging services; manage OS builds for legacy and current Windows platforms.
• Manage virtual desktop activities, including capacity planning, monitoring, provisioning, image maintenance, multi-session tuning, and cost optimization.
• Monitor device health, report and remediate issues, and maintain OS currency using Service Now processes.
• Conduct routine technology health checks and provide in‑person services for relevant devices and asset categories.
• Provide remote and on‑site technical services (smart hands), proactive and reactive support, and mobile device support (persona management, application access, device enrollment, OS maintenance, firmware updates).
• Maintain current technical certifications and stay updated with relevant technology changes.
• Assist with assignment work and maintain professional standards per the relevant Job Profile.
• Support event audio/video readiness, event planning, and communication.
• Support field IT operations such as vehicle technologies, smart hands, legacy technologies, storm recovery operations, and IT software/hardware asset management.
• Issue and act on IT incident and request tickets requiring advanced software, hardware, or server support.

• Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in technical support.
• Ability to travel to remote locations as required.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, in local language and English.
• Ability to provide high level customer service and meet all defined SLAs.
• Knowledge of Windows 10, 11, and legacy Windows platforms (e.g., Win7).
• Proficiency in OS imaging tools and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Intune, Azure AD, Office 365, Teams, Google, and Service Now.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, drivers, client applications, and firmware issues.
• Experience with video conferencing solutions and mobile device management.
• Self‑starter and analytical; able to work independently and as part of a team in both BAU and project‑based environments.
