SAP VC Developer - (S/4

HANA)

Remote (UK-based) | Occasional site visits – Herefordshire & Europe

£500–£600 per day (Outside IR35) – Negotiable DOE

40 hours per week | Initial 3-month contract | Extensions likely

We are seeking an experienced SAP VC Developer to support major international S/4

HANA project initiatives. This project-focused contract role supports a global manufacturing environment, with responsibility for enhancing and designing SAP Variant Configuration (VC) solutions across multiple regions.

This is a hands-on role suited to a contractor who thrives in structured project environments, understands SAP VC at a deep technical level, and can deliver clean, scalable configuration builds aligned to business requirements.

You will supplement the internal SAP team to support ongoing transformation programmes and regional system enhancements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Understanding and analysing the existing SAP S/4
  
  HANA VC configuration setup
• Designing and implementing changes to current VC builds in North America
• Supporting regional teams in adapting business processes impacted by VC changes
• Assisting with documentation of business requirements for a European rollout
• Producing high-level design for the European VC solution
• Supporting in-house SAP teams with non–data-related VC issues

Subject to project progress, you may also be responsible for:

• Detailed VC solution design for Europe
• Build configuration and IT testing
• Documentation for long-term support and governance
• Training process owners in managing VC data and solution structure

• Strong experience delivering SAP Variant Configuration (VC) solutions in S/4
  
  HANA
• Proven track record working within project environments and structured methodologies
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable VC design
• Experience supporting cross-regional SAP implementations
• Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
• Comfortable working to tight project timelines and deadlines
• Fluent English required

• Primarily remote engagement
• Occasional on-site presence in Herefordshire or European project locations
• Company-provided laptop and system access
• Travel flexibility required
