Job DescriptionNetcompany is looking for Entry-level Cloud Operations Engineers to join our Cloud Operations team and advance our support capabilities to deliver optimal solutions for our clients.
As part of our Cloud Operations Team, you will monitor, support, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure services to ensure optimal performance and reliability for our clients. Working directly with seasoned engineers, you ll gain practical experience across leading cloud platforms while building the technical foundation required for a successful career in cloud engineering.
You will train across multiple industry-leading cloud platforms (including AWS and Azure) alongside supporting technologies. Working directly with seasoned engineers on real-world infrastructure, you will build a highly versatile toolkit and gain the practical experience needed to progress in your career.
Based in a brand-new purpose-built facility in Leeds city centre, you will join a forward-thinking organisation that prioritises your personal development.
Key Skills
- 1+ years’ experience in a professional IT environment (as a cloud/infrastructure engineer or similar support role) OR hold relevant entry-level cloud certifications (such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or similar)
- The enthusiasm to continuously learn. You will need to take the initiative and learn new skills, tools, and techniques.
- You thrive when troubleshooting and enjoy solving complex problems.
- Effective communication skills. You will work collaboratively as a team in a fast-moving business sector.
- Effectively estimate work and produce deliverables on time.
- Ability to plan, organise and accurately report issues and task progress.
- Ability to identify areas for personal development.
- Must be willing to do UK-based travel for projects.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Must be able to achieve a UK Security Clearance
- A computing degree or a similar discipline OR real-world IT experience
- Experience of working on critical systems.
- Experience with Alert Monitoring and Event Management.
- Skill in at least one scripting language.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Understanding of Containerisation, Kubernetes / Docker.
- Understanding of CI/CD Pipelines.
- Availability to join a 24/7 support rota (Depending on the customer delivery)
