Job Description Summary .

Job Description As a technology Infrastructure integration engineer focussing on Problem Analysis and Solutions you’ll be an active and leading member in the Cloud Services teams driving the development of our modern developer eco system.

We are seeking in-depth knowledge of modern developer eco-systems including both Mac and Windows, modern identity providers and controls, e.g. Azure AD, or GCP Identity, & device management platforms, e.g. Microsoft Endpoint Manager & JAMFYou should also have good Cloud knowledge at least to Azure or GCP Foundation certified and a willingness to develop to full certified engineer status within 6 months

You’ll be an active and leading member of Cloud Services, helping to deliver the vision of a world class developer environment with zero DLP tolerance that attracts and retains talent.

This will enable the business to realise the next generation of services that form the Bank’s vision for 2023 and beyond!

The role will have end-to-end accountabilities including:

Leading technical troubleshooting and initiatives across multiple teams and technologies

Finding opportunities & use-cases for new features and capabilities

Collaboratively working with the business and other engineering teams to design then build and release enterprise-class solutions that progress the programme’s roadmap

The role will require you to be ‘hands-on’ and will blend both deep domain and technical expertise within the client device, modern device management and network topics with a focus on troubleshooting and complex problem resolution.

Driving identification of opportunities for and delivery of enterprise-class automated solutions

Identifying shortcomings and opportunities, including use cases for new features and products, then driving and implementing improvements to existing business practices

Responding to complex problems and taking ownership of driving resolution, improvements, and enhancements to enhance the developer experience and security

What’s needed to be considered for this job?

Essential:

Experience and deep understanding of client operating systems (Windows/MacOS) and Mobile Device Management solutions

Experience of providing leadership support across teams and technologies to drive positive solutions and resolutions with great stakeholder management

Delivered solutions based on the principles of Infrastructure as Code / automation

Understanding and ability to write scripts in BASH, Python, Power Shell Extensive  technical troubleshooting experience and analytical ability to break complex issues down and analyse information to make decisions, then able to lead and take ownership of the solution fix from root cause analysis through to resolution

Passionate about customer experience and outcomes driven by technology

Desirable:

A good understanding of Security tooling and integrations

Experience of Networking, Firewalls and Proxies Involvement in an API First use case delivery

Experience of Design and Governance

About you:

Recent experience designing and delivering developer eco systems, services, automated systems with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and agile delivery models

Able to follow and iteratively improve services that are inherent within the developer eco system, and develop new features where other emerging technologies present an opportunity

Skilled collaborator and work with architectural teams, business teams and other engineering teams to shape, design and engineer solutions

Continuous curiosity to learn and develop themselves with industry standard methodology methods and tooling in the cloud function

Technology agnostic and are willing to adapt their approach in pursuit of the best solution
