Job summary

Engage with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to understand requirements.

Translate clinical and business needs into technical requirements.

Work closely with IT architects, suppliers, and engineers to ensure appropriate technical solutions.

Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to senior management.

Facilitate collaboration between internal teams and external suppliers.

Identify, monitor, and manage project risks and dependencies.

Implement mitigation strategies and escalate issues where necessary.

Ensure robust change control processes are followed.

Ensure compliance with NHS and LTHT governance and design standards.

Estimate resources and costs for each project.

Main duties of the jobThe Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trusts digital programme is centred on a single, overarching aim: to improve the experience and outcomes of patients by modernising the Trusts digital infrastructure, clinical systems, and ways of working. At its core, the programme is designed to ensure that patients receive safer, faster, more coordinated, and more personalised care. The Trusts commitment to this programme includes the implementation of internally developed and procured solutions and to ensure that they are delivered securely, safely and efficiently.

It is necessary to introduce new, or expand existing, Digital solutions/systems into complex clinical environments which often span multiple departmental and organisational boundaries within the Region

This is a technical project management role to manage projects end to end, assist with defining the project requirements to provide a solution that is aligned to the Trusts strategy. The post holder is responsible for engaging with the clinical, operational and technical stakeholders to create project and technical documentation and to ensure that the solution meets the necessary governance as well as the delivery of the solution.
