Career development, ongoing product training, senior regional responsibility and the opportunity to influence partner performance and growth Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced Stairlift Technical Manager to join a well-established stairlift manufacturer in a senior, field-based position. Acting as deputy to the Head of Region, you will combine technical support, partner training and commercial awareness to improve product knowledge, installation standards and partner confidence across your assigned region.

You'll manage a patch from the Midlands to Yorkshire, with an occasional requirement to meet partners in other regions. This is an excellent opportunity for a stairlift professional who enjoys developing people, resolving complex technical issues and building strong relationships. You will serve as the key link between external partners and internal Sales, Technical Support, Training, CAD, Quality, Production and Planning teams.

Commutable from:
Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Barnsley, Doncaster, Sheffield, Rotherham, Huddersfield, Shipley, Keighley, Halifax, and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver regional training plans based on partner needs and recurring technical issues.
  • Onboard new partners with product training, technical guidance and first-order support.
  • Coach partner engineers, surveyors and sales teams to improve product knowledge and performance.
  • Provide field-based technical support and diagnose installation, survey and product issues.
  • Manage complex partner cases through to resolution, coordinating with internal teams.
  • Support partner reviews, development plans and regional sales objectives.
  • Improve right-first-time survey and installation outcomes through targeted training.
  • Maintain accurate records of visits, training, technical cases and follow-up actions.
  • Support the rollout of new products, software updates and technical guidance.
Requirements
  • Experience with in technical support, field training, B2B sales or a partner-facing technical role
  • Strong technical knowledge of stairlifts, mobility equipment, access products or similar equipment.
  • Experience delivering technical training, coaching or practical guidance.
  • Proven ability to manage escalated customer or partner issues through to resolution.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to support sales while making evidence-based technical decisions.
  • Confident communication, organisation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Stairlift surveying, installation, servicing or fault-finding experience

  • Experience working with a partner or distributor network

  • Formal technical, engineering, training or coaching qualification
    - Desirable
  • Comfortable travelling regularly to visit partners throughout the assigned region.
