Cyber Security Analyst

Contract | Remote | UK or Europe | 2pm–10pm UK Hours

NRG is supporting an international organisation in the search for an experienced Cybersecurity Operations Analyst to join its global security function on a contract basis.

This role combines hands‑on security operations, incident investigation and frontline cybersecurity support, bridging operational coverage between European and US teams.

We're looking for someone with broad cybersecurity experience who enjoys problem‑solving, engaging with users and taking ownership of security-related issues. You'll be joining an established global team with opportunities to develop your technical expertise and contribute to wider security initiatives.

• Manage and triage incoming cybersecurity requests, investigating issues, prioritising workloads and ensuring timely resolution or escalation.
• Support Tier 3 security operations, including security event investigation, incident response, troubleshooting and remediation activities.
• Act as a frontline cybersecurity contact, providing technical guidance and support to users while coordinating with global security teams.
• Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of security tools, operational processes, technical documentation and wider cybersecurity projects.

• Minimum 4 years' experience in cybersecurity operations, security engineering or a similar hands‑on security support role.
• Broad technical understanding of cybersecurity, including identity and access management, endpoint security, networks, cloud environments and vulnerability management.
• Practical experience investigating security incidents, troubleshooting technical issues and working with IT service management processes and ticketing systems.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills, with experience supporting technical and non‑technical users, taking ownership of issues and working independently.
