Casualty, Financial Lines, Motor, Real Estate and Specialist Combined. We partner with A rated insurers and write over £180m of premium under delegated underwriting authority, with all products developed in-house by an experienced team of insurance professionals.

We’re growing and are looking for an experienced
** New Business Underwriter
** to join our team in
** Leatherhead, Gloucester or Leeds**, on a
** hybrid working
** basis.
** What you will be doing:
*** Develop and grow our
** new business proposition
** in line with team and individual KPIs and targets.
* Underwrite
** Specialist Combined, Charity & Not For Profit, Faith and Recruitment risks
** in line with our underwriting strategy, authority levels and guides.
* Provide timely, accurate
** new business quotations
** to brokers, meeting agreed SLAs and business operating standards.
* Build, manage and deepen
** key broker relationships**, actively developing new business pipelines and securing profitable instructions.
* Ensure all documentation is accurate, compliant and aligned with underwriting guides, SLAs and regulatory requirements.
** What we’re looking for
*** Experience in a
** regulated FCA environment** (desirable).
* Proven background in a
** new business, sales or development underwriting
** role.
* At least
** 5 years’ Property and Casualty underwriting experience**.
* Experience in the
** Charity/Faith and/or Recruitment sectors**.
* Good
** technical underwriting
** expertise across property classes.
* Clear understanding of the
** UK broker market
** and how to develop effective broker relationships.
* Proven understanding of
** underwriting guidelines
** across all transactions (new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, etc.).
* A
** positive, proactive and helpful attitude**, with a strong team ethic and willingness to support and mentor others.
