Claims Adjuster – Motor Claims

• Day-to-day handling of a portfolio compromising of Motor claims, including coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, reserving and settlement
• Ensure reserving philosophy is adhered to and reserves booked are in compliance with company protocols
• Collaborate with Underwriting and Actuarial teams in connection with claim issues, trends, review of reinsurance contract language and service standards
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers and market peers
• Monitor trends and developments in Motor claims and keep underwriters and actuaries up to date
• Keep up to date with legal developments, i.e. relevant case law; new and developing precedents; changes in legislation that impacts the portfolios
• Collaborate with members of the Global claims team on common claims and internal processes to ensure consistency

• Previous experience dealing with Motor claims from cradle to grave
• Business acumen and an understanding of the clients' needs
• Ability to build effective professional relationships both with external clients, including Solicitors and Brokers
• High level of financial and commercial awareness
• Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail to be able to carefully analyse information
• Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple tasks

Demonstrates expertise in managing Motor Claims, including coverage analysis, investigation, and settlement, while ensuring compliance with reserving protocols and legal developments. Strong relationship-building skills with brokers and market peers enhance collaboration with Underwriting and Actuarial teams.
