Claims Adjuster – Casualty Claims

• Day-to-day handling of a portfolio compromising of Casualty claims, including coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, reserving and settlement, in accordance with Global Claims Handling guidelines, service standards and regulations.
• Ensure reserving philosophy is adhered to and reserves booked are in compliance with company protocols.
• Collaborate with Underwriting and Actuarial teams in connection with claim issues, trends, review of reinsurance contract language and service standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers and market peers.
• Monitor trends and developments in Casualty claims and keep underwriters and actuaries up to date.
• Keep up to date with legal developments, i.e. relevant case law; new and developing precedents; changes in legislation that impacts the portfolios.
• Collaborate with members of the Global claims team on common claims and internal processes to ensure consistency.

• Some exposure to claims handling, insurance, legal support, or a similar environment would be preferable.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to review and understand information accurately.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with guidance.
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with colleagues and external stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to learning and developing your technical knowledge.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and build positive working relationships.
• Basic commercial awareness and an interest in understanding client needs.
• Comfortable working to deadlines and managing priorities with support.
• Previous and tangible Claims experience, dealing with claims from cradle to grave, preferably including EL/PL & Casualty, but we will also consider applications from those with Motor and other experience.

Demonstrates expertise in handling Casualty claims, including coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, and settlement, while ensuring compliance with company protocols and legal developments. Strong ability to collaborate with underwriting and actuarial teams, maintain relationships with brokers, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
