The Renewal Connect team is often seen as a fantastic foundation for a long‑term underwriting career ’ll work across a wide range of Professional & Management Risks, charity and not‑for‑profit business, gaining exposure to multiple trading platforms including Acturis, Websure and IDEAL. The role offers variety, volume and the opportunity to develop strong technical underwriting skills across a diverse portfolio. You’ll be joining a close‑knit team where colleagues are supported, developed and encouraged to progress.

Many members of the team have already moved into more senior underwriting positions or wider opportunities across the business.

• As an Underwriter, you’ll manage a high‑volume portfolio of renewals while delivering exceptional service to broker partners.
• Underwriting commercial insurance risks within your delegated authority
• Managing renewals and mid‑term adjustments across a varied portfolio
• Working closely with brokers to retain and secure business
• Using underwriting judgement to assess risk and make effective decisions
• Developing strong relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders
• Working across multiple systems including Acturis and broker trading platforms
• Prioritising and managing workloads within a fast‑paced renewals environment
• Supporting wider team initiatives and projects

• Commercial insurance underwriting experience
• Strong organisational and workload management skills
• A technical and analytical approach to underwriting
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
• Highly desirable:
  Acturis experience
• Commercial renewals experience
• Experience with in Professional, Management Risk or Charity insurance products
• CII qualifications or active CII studies
