Ever been the sort of person who gets a quiet buzz from keeping things running smoothly — the one everyone relies on to make sure the details are spot‑on?
If so, this could be right up your street.
We’re working with an award-winning regional insurance broker based in Leeds that’s looking to add another Commercial Insurance Administrator to their growing team.
What’s the job? You’ll be the backbone of the operation — updating systems, databases and insurer portals to make sure everything lines up exactly as it should.
That means working with:
- Acturis (their main broking platform)
- MID and online insurer portals
- Internal systems that keep policies, renewals and client records up to date
Yes, it’s detailed work — but it’s important. Get it right, and you’ll quickly become the go‑to person everyone trusts to keep things ticking over.
What’s in it for you? Here’s the part that makes this worth a closer look:
This team has a proven track record of promoting from within. In fact, the only reason this position exists is because of internal promotions, and to nurture talent to grow with the business.
Start here, learn the ropes, and you’ll have a clear pathway into roles like:
- Commercial Account Handler – working directly with clients providing technical support.
- Account Executive – managing/ developing your own book of clients.
The right people tend to move up quickly — it’s a genuine stepping stone into the wider world of commercial insurance.
What do they need?Although they’re flexible on the background and experience, there are a couple of preferences they have
- Some administration experience from an insurance environment, personal or commercial
- Positive attitude, and an appetite to progress
- Someone that enjoys administration tasks
Down-to-earth, supportive, and ambitious. You’ll be surrounded by people who’ve been exactly where you are now — and who are proof that it’s possible to build a strong insurance career from this starting point.
You’ll be office-based to start (so you can learn hands‑on and be part of the action), but once you’re trusted and up to speed, you’ll have the flexibility to work more independently.
The package- Competitive salary – Up to £30k
- Career progression that actually happens
- New offices on the outskirts of Leeds, so parking is available
- Supportive team and genuine long-term prospects
