Position: Russian-English Translator & Editor at ICS

Russian-English Translator & Editor

Location:

Leeds, UK. Full‑time on site position with hybrid working option (minimum 1 day per week in office). Permanent role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Salary: £25,000 – £27,500 depending on experience. Remote candidates within the UK are also welcome.

Responsibilities
  • Translate, edit, and proofread content from Russian to English across a wide variety of text types.
  • Work in highly‑regulated iGaming markets (online casino and sports betting).
  • Complete linguistic quality assessments of translation samples.
  • Provide constructive and professional feedback to freelance collaborators to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Assess source texts and flag any issues using linguistic expertise.
  • Communicate proactively with Project and Senior Managers to ensure visibility across all tasks.
Qualifications
  • Native‑level English speaker with advanced knowledge of Russian.
  • Qualified translator meeting at least one of the following criteria:
  • Translation or language‑related degree, or degree in any subject with two years of full‑time professional translation experience.
  • Five years of full‑time professional translation experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Familiar with CAT tools, including memoQ and other localisation software.
  • Receptive to receiving and acting upon constructive feedback.
  • Ability to organise and manage multiple time‑sensitive linguistic tasks.
