A well-established and growing regional law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its expanding private wealth team. This role is suited to a confident and technically strong practitioner who enjoys handling complex work, building long-term client relationships, and contributing to a collaborative team culture.

The firm has grown significantly over recent years and now operates across multiple offices, offering specialist legal services to individuals and businesses. It is recognised for its supportive working environment, commitment to quality, and continued investment in its people.

The Role:

You will take responsibility for a varied and often complex private client caseload, with particular emphasis on high-value and taxable estates, trusts, and succession planning. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who is comfortable working autonomously while also engaging closely with colleagues across different offices.

Key

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Managing a full private client caseload from initial instruction through to conclusion
  • Advising clients on the administration of high-value and taxable estates
  • Providing inheritance tax and estate planning advice
  • Drafting, advising on, and administering trusts
  • Preparing Wills tailored to complex personal and financial circumstances
  • Drafting and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Delivering a consistently high standard of client care
  • Developing and maintaining strong professional and client relationships
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple office locations
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
Candidate Profile
  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in private client work
  • Demonstrable experience dealing with complex and taxable estates and trust matters
  • Comfortable managing a substantial and varied caseload independently
  • STEP qualification, or progression towards it, would be advantageous
  • Strong technical knowledge combined with a practical, client-focused approach
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work flexibly across office locations as required
