Property Litigation Paralegal Leeds Hybrid working with strong future development
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join a well-established, full-service law firm in its Housing Management and Property Litigation team in Leeds.
This is a fantastic role for someone looking to build hands-on litigation experience within a highly regarded and growing department that acts for Registered Providers of Social Housing, private landlords, developers, and local authorities across England and Wales.
This is a busy litigation environment offering genuine advocacy opportunities and regular County Court exposure.
The Role
You will support Solicitors and other fee earners while progressively building responsibility for your own caseload. The work is varied, fast-paced and court-focused.
- Possession proceedings (rent arrears, anti-social behaviour, breach of tenancy, unauthorised occupiers)
- Injunction applications
- Disrepair claims
- Leaseholder disputes and forfeiture proceedings
- General housing management advice
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the day-to-day management of litigated files
- Drafting claim forms, pleadings, and witness statements
- Preparing trial bundles
- Managing multiple court deadlines across a varied caseload
- Liaising with Courts, Counsel, and clients
- Attending hearings and assisting Barristers
- Conducting advocacy in the County Court on routine matters
- Maintaining organised and accurate files
- Supporting clients with queries and progressing matters proactively
About You
- At least six months property litigation, housing disrepair or housing litigation experience - other areas of litigation experience may be considered if have a sound knowledge of county court procedures
- A Law degree (minimum 2:2) or equivalent conversion
- Strong drafting and legal research skills
- Excellent organisation and diary management ability
- Confidence communicating with clients and Counsel
- The ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
