Paralegal Medical Negligence

Reporting to: Head of Medical Negligence.
Department: Medical Negligence.

Award-winning North Leeds Firm is looking for a Paralegal with experience in dealing with Claimant Medical Negligence matters. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly driven and motivated candidate to be involved with the expansion of our Medical Negligence department.

• Handling a variety of clinical negligence claims from inception to settlement, including both pre and post litigation claims.

• Litigation experience is essential to this role.
• Excellent understanding of CPR Rules and The Pre-Action Protocol for the Resolution of Clinical Disputes.
• Experience in handling a variety of complex medical negligence claims from inception to completion.
• Excellent negotiating skills.
• Experience of working to targets and KPIs.

• Experience using Proclaim database is preferable.
• Training junior staff members in handling medical negligence claims.
• Working with marketing to expand the department.

• 2 years+ experience in handling Claimant Medical Negligence claims is essential.

• Good attention to detail.
• Excellent client care.
• Excellent communication and literacy skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.

Dependent upon experience.

Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00.
