This role is for a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) specialising in Employment Law. You will work closely with the UK employment team, providing strategic advice and technical support, as well as engaging in horizon scanning, internal training, and knowledge management activities. You will support client relationships through the development of legal updates, publications, and thought leadership, ensuring the firm’s employment offering remains innovative and market-leading.
Your responsibilities will include collaborating on client pitches, developing deep sector expertise, and driving the use of legal technology, including AI tools, to enhance service delivery. The role offers flexible working arrangements—full or part-time, with hybrid working — based in Leeds city centre.
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of around 8 years’ post-qualification employment law experience
- Excellent technical employment law knowledge with a keen eye for detail and innovation
- Strong team player with a proactive attitude and a commercial mindset
- Interest (not necessarily expertise) in AI and legal technology, with the enthusiasm to help integrate these tools into daily practice
- Experience in mentoring or developing junior lawyers and contributing to internal training
- Self-starter with a genuine desire to do things differently and improve legal service delivery
