Job Description & How to Apply Below

Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) – Commercial Contracts & Data Protection Leeds | Top-Tier Global Law Firm Full or Part time Hours

We are working with a leading global legal and business services firm to recruit an experienced Professional Support Lawyer to join their Leeds office. This is a broad and varied PSL role spanning knowledge management, research and development, training delivery, and client-facing work.

The Role

You will play a central part in the firm's knowledge strategy, keeping fee earners up to date with legal developments, producing high-quality precedents and practice notes, and advising on compliance and regulatory matters.

The role also has a strong training element — both internal and client-facing — including designing and delivering sessions, mentoring colleagues, and producing training materials.

There is genuine scope to contribute to innovation, process improvement, and the firm's client development activity through articles, briefings, and conference participation.

Advising on the use of AI tools forms an increasingly important part of the position, and the firm is committed to embracing technology to enhance the delivery of legal services.

The Candidate

We are looking for a qualified solicitor with a minimum of five to seven years' post-qualification experience in commercial contracts and data protection.

Some exposure to public procurement law would be advantageous.

Prior PSL experience is desirable but not essential — what matters most is a passion for knowledge sharing, strong written and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across a large, fast-paced organisation.

Critically, candidates must have a genuine interest in and/or hands‑on exposure to AI tools and their application within a legal context. The firm is actively investing in this space and wants someone who shares that enthusiasm and can help shape how AI is adopted across the business.

In Summary

This is an excellent opportunity to step into or develop a PSL career within a well-resourced, forward-thinking firm that places genuine value on knowledge, innovation, and the intelligent use of technology.
