CRA Consulting are delighted to be working with a well‑established, full‑service UK law firm with over 150 years' heritage and offices across London, Yorkshire and the Midlands. With approximately 350 employees and a growing international reach, the firm advises a diverse client base including multinational corporations, charities, housing associations, regulators, developers and private individuals. Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking a Paralegal to join its Real Estate & Projects team in Leeds.

About

the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded and collegiate Real Estate & Projects team. You will support Solicitors and Partners on a wide range of complex property matters, while also building and managing your own caseload. The role will involve advising and assisting Registered Providers of Social Housing, management companies, landowners, investors, charities and developers on matters including development transactions, stock transfers, inter‑group company transfers and ancillary property work.

Team

The Real Estate team sits at the heart of the firm's practice, with 17 dedicated Partners advising on a broad range of property transactions. The team acts for registered providers of social housing and care homes, private developers on multi‑unit schemes, and clients involved in portfolio acquisitions, disposals and open space management. You will be joining a supportive, open and collaborative department that actively encourages involvement in business development, as well as training and development initiatives.

What

You'll Be Doing
  • Assisting Solicitors and Fee Earners with the day‑to‑day management of files.
  • Drafting transaction summaries and reports, including Land Agreements, Development Agreements, Transfers and Sectional Agreements.
  • Reviewing and reporting on due diligence searches as part of reports on title.
  • Producing and inputting reports on title for development site acquisitions.
  • Assisting with land transfers, including pre‑ and post‑completion formalities.
  • Preparing completion statements, submitting priority searches and liaising directly with clients.
  • Undertaking Land Registry applications and dealing with requisitions.
  • Drafting ancillary documentation such as Deeds of Covenant, Land Registry certificates and Transfers.
  • Meeting departmental targets and adhering to firm procedures and regulatory requirements.
About you
  • Minimum 2:2 Law degree (or equivalent/conversion course).
  • 3+ years' experience dealing with the conveyancing process (commercial or residential background considered).
  • Strong drafting and legal research skills.
  • Excellent organisation and diary management abilities.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to communicate in plain English.
  • A methodical approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
  • Self‑motivated, professional and a supportive team player.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of a Document Management System (DMS).
  • Experience using Partners for Windows (time recording system).
