We are working with a highly regarded UK law firm with over 150 years' heritage and offices in London, Leeds and the Midlands. Recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, the firm is known for its specialist expertise across construction, commercial litigation, corporate, employment, projects and property law.

Ranked Tier 1 for its social housing work, the firm acts primarily for Registered Providers, as well as private developers and investment funds. With over 350 staff and a growing national and international reach, this is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving and ambitious practice.

About the Role

Real Estate - particularly development - is at the heart of the firm's business. This role will see you managing your own caseload while also providing direct support to a senior solicitor within the team.

You will specialise in key areas including sales and purchases of land and social housing stock, management and transfer of open spaces, and development transactions. There will also be opportunities to assist with large-scale stock transfers involving portfolios of hundreds of units.

This position offers exposure to high-value and often high-profile transactions, many of which are reported in the industry and national press.

The Team

The Real Estate team comprises 17 dedicated Partners advising on a wide range of property transactions. Clients include Registered Providers of social housing and care homes, pension funds, build-to-rent operators and private developers, acting on developments ranging from small schemes to multi-thousand unit sites.

The collaborative structure of the team ensures strong support, knowledge sharing and genuine opportunities for progression.

  • Reviewing and reporting on due diligence searches.
  • Handling pre- and post-completion formalities, including completion statements and priority searches.
  • Undertaking Land Registry applications and dealing with requisitions.
  • Meeting departmental targets and adhering to regulatory and firm procedures.
About you

  • Highly organised, with effective diary management and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Client-focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commercially aware and able to work with limited supervision.
  • Flexible and proactive, with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.

  • Knowledge of a Document Management System (DMS).
  • Experience using Partners for Windows (time recording system).
