A well-established, multi-office law firm is seeking a permanent, full-time Criminal Law Paralegal to join its busy and expanding team in Leeds.
About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity to join a respected criminal law team within a modern, paperless working environment. Junior team members are office-based to benefit from hands-on training and support from experienced practitioners.
The Ideal Candidate Will- Be currently undertaking or have completed legal studies (e.g. LPC/BPC or equivalent, SQE preparation, or relevant academic modules/experience).
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in Criminal Law.
- Hold Police Station Accreditation.
- Possess strong organisational skills.
- Be able to work effectively under pressure.
- Deliver high levels of client care in the management of client matters.
- Provide day-to-day support to Fee Earners.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage files efficiently using a case management system, including drafting letters and legal documents.
- Complete public funding applications.
- Collate and redact large volumes of documentation for Court bundles where required.
- Liaise with local authorities, the Police, medical professionals, Courts and external experts to obtain and manage documentation.
