We’re looking for a pro-active and ambitious lawyer to join our top-tier Leeds team as a Senior Associate (4-6 PQE), offering the opportunity to develop your commercial litigation expertise within a leading global disputes practice.
The Opportunity This is an ideal role for a lawyer who enjoys variety and is keen to build a broad disputes practice, working across complex, high-value matters while developing their profile and taking on increasing responsibility.
What You’ll DoYou will play a key role advising on a broad mix of commercial litigation matters. Candidates should be commercial, creative legal thinkers who are eager to develop the practice both internally and externally. Advise on a wide range of commercial disputes including contractual, corporate and financial services disputes and civil fraud across a broad range of industry sectors. Manage disputes across all stages from pre-action through to resolution
Draft court documents including pleadings and evidence
Work collaboratively across our offices globally on cross-border mandates
Take ownership of work streams with support from senior colleagues
Build client relationships and contribute to business development
What We’re Looking For England & Wales qualified lawyer with 4-6 PQEExperience in complex high-value disputes (litigation and/or international arbitration)
Excellent case management skills
Client focus and commitment to first-class service with a view to developing client facing skills
Strong technical and commercial judgementA strong work ethic demonstrated by a proven track record of meeting standard hours target
Personable and collegiate mindset demonstrated by good working relationships with colleagues, clients and external organisationsA willingness to engage in business development opportunities including client secondmentsA genuine interest in working flexibly across commercial litigation and arbitration
