Clinical Negligence Solicitor – Leeds A well-regarded, nationally recognised law firm is looking to appoint a Grade B Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join its established and growing team. This role offers a high degree of flexibility. It can be undertaken fully remotely, with an expectation of circa two days per month in the firm’s northern office, or alternatively on a hybrid or office-based arrangement in Leeds, depending on your preference. You will join a specialist clinical negligence team with a strong reputation for technical excellence and client care. The team handles a broad range of complex and sensitive matters, providing you with the opportunity to manage a varied and intellectually engaging caseload.

Working autonomously, you will take responsibility for progressing cases from instruction through to resolution, adopting a strategic and commercially aware approach. You will also collaborate with medical experts, counsel and colleagues to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients. In addition to fee-earning responsibilities, you will play a key role within the wider team—supporting junior lawyers, contributing to knowledge sharing and maintaining high standards of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of clinical negligence claims from inception to conclusion Take a proactive and strategic approach to litigation and settlement Draft key legal documentation, including Letters of Claim and expert instructions Liaise effectively with clients, experts, counsel and other stakeholders Negotiate settlements and manage proceedings where required Support team performance objectives in collaboration with senior colleagues Mentor and assist in the development of junior team members Ensure accurate and compliant file management at all times Requirements Qualified Solicitor with significant experience in clinical negligence (aligned to Grade B level) Demonstrable experience handling a varied caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively Commercially aware, with a strategic approach to case handling Experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues Confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office The Offering The firm is known for its progressive and people-focused culture, offering a working environment where flexibility, wellbeing and professional development are prioritised.
