Our client is a well-established international trading and distribution business with a diverse global supply chain and long-standing relationships with customers and suppliers worldwide. They are looking to recruit an Imports Coordinator to join their operations team, supporting the smooth movement of goods from overseas suppliers through to final delivery. Working within a busy imports and purchasing function, this role is responsible for coordinating import processes, maintaining accurate system records and ensuring shipments progress efficiently.

You'll work closely with colleagues across purchasing, accounts and logistics, as well as external suppliers, freight partners and customers, playing a key role in maintaining an efficient supply chain. Responsibilities
  • Process and check supplier and shipping invoices, ensuring accuracy before approval for payment.
  • Post purchase invoices onto the internal system and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and submit customs clearance documentation and import declarations.
  • Monitor inbound shipments from overseas suppliers through to customer delivery.
  • Raise purchase orders with international suppliers for both stock and customer-specific orders.
  • Maintain accurate sales and purchasing data within internal systems and spreadsheets.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, hauliers, suppliers and customers to provide shipment updates.
  • Maintain accurate filing and documentation relating to imports and purchasing activities.
  • Provide administrative support across the imports, purchasing and accounts teams as required.
Candidate Profile
  • Previous experience within an imports, logistics, supply chain or purchasing administration role would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary up to £30,000, depending on experience.
  • Full-time, permanent position offering a 35hr working week
  • Office-based role.
