ABOUT THE ROLE
As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you will deliver high‑quality Waitrose produce and partner‑led service directly to customers' doors, embodying our ethos of passionate Partners serving food lovers. When you are not on the road, you will support the shop with daily tasks such as stock replenishment and housekeeping, helping to run the shop efficiently and in a friendly, welcoming environment.
Night premiums of £3.75 per hour apply to any time worked between 22:00 – 06:00, and the premium also applies to existing Partners enrolled into Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.
You must be 18 years or older to work in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Check your delivery routes for the day.
- Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together and can be efficiently delivered directly to customers.
- Complete all appropriate vehicle safety checks, maintaining full road compliance, health and safety.
- Act as an ambassador for the Waitrose brand on the road, delivering excellent customer service as your number one priority.
- Help customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
- Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.
- Full valid B‑Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- Great customer service skills.
- Time‑management skills.
- Ability to cope with the physical requirements of the role (e.g. lifting crates, moving cages).
- Comfortable working independently with the ability to be self‑motivated and adaptable.
- IT literacy.
- Previous experience in a driving role and knowledge of chilled vehicle operations.

Temporary - Hours of Work: 21 hours of part‑time work across seven days (early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends).
