We are seeking a reliable and well-organised Trainee Storeman / Yardman to support our inventory management and yard operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in logistics and stock control while gaining hands-on experience in a busy operational environment.
You will assist in handling goods, maintaining accurate stock levels, and ensuring the yard is clean, safe, and well-organised. The role requires a keen eye for detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
This role will be based at our Holbeck Depot in Leeds
Key Responsibilities- Inventory management, including receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods and materials
- Performing regular stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records
- Coordinating yard operations and ensuring a clean, safe working environment
- Cleaning vehicles and off-hiring equipment as required
- Liaising with Operations Managers to support day-to-day tasks
- Carrying out basic administrative duties and updating computer records
- Full UK driving licence
- Competence with computers and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous relevant work experience (3 years preferred, but trainees with the right attitude will be considered)
